As the student ministry of
Loxley Church of God, we realize the powerful influence of an adolescent's
parents. Surveys and statistics prove that you carry more influence than
anyone else. The influence is there for the good or the bad. The greatest
influences are not their peers, the youth pastor, a teacher, or some rock
band. Some of you may be completely shocked to hear this. But it is true,
even in the life of your teen.
We are committed to assist You
in disciplining your teen for Christ. It is never appropriate for the
student ministry to undermine the authority of a
parent that is
submitted to the Word of God. It is not the responsibility of Ablaze to raise your
teen. We are not called to "parent" your teen, but it is our calling to
support your parenting in Christ. We will pray for you, listen to you,
and provide resources for you. May the anointing of the Holy Spirit rest
on you during your "Great Adventure" of raising your teenager in the new
millennium.
